Hidroelektrarne Na Spodnji Savi (HESS), the state-owned operator of the hydropower plants on the Lower Sava river in Slovenia, invites bids by 19 November for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of turbines and generators, auxiliary equipment and lifting equipment for the 28 MW Mokrice combined run-off/accumulation type facility.
Construction of the plant, which will be the last in a cascade of five run-of-river stations on the Lower Sava to be built by HESS with a combined capacity of 187 MW, is expected to begin in mid-2019 and to be completed in 2022. The project is to be built 10 km downstream of the 45 MW Brežice plant, a run-of-river and reservoir type facility, which was commissioned in October 2017.
The scope of supply for Lot TGD includes three horizontal bulb units of the same design and dimensions, comprising a double-regulated turbine with Kaplan type runner and three-phase synchronous generator. Turbines should be designed for a rated net head of 6.4 m and a maximum net head of 8.38 m at a rated and maximum turbine discharge of 166.7 m3/s and should have a rated turbine power output of around 9.4 MW and maximum turbine power output of around 12.8 MW.
In addition to the turbines and generators, the contract also requires the supply of three sets of turbine regulators, three bearing systems, three emergency systems, cooling system with assemblies, a drainage system with assemblies, a compressed air system, a water level measurement system, assembly devices and special tools, three generator breaking systems, three oil drain systems, diagnostic system for aggregates, spare parts, lifting devices in the engine room of the plant, two electrically operated lifting devices (main and auxiliary bridge hoist) and staff training.
