RfPs sought for Rwanda’s Nyabarongo II project design

The Nyaborongo II project, between the districts of Gakenke and Kamonyi in southwestern Rwanda, and comprising a powerhouse with three 14.5 MW units, a 48 m-high, 228 m-long concrete gravity dam, and associated transmission infrastructure, is to be built by China’s Sinohydro under an EPC contract with financing from China Exim Bank.

The winning consultant will be selected under a quality and cost-based selection (QCBS) procedure.

Tender documents are available from EDCL’s Procurement Office at the below-mentioned address upon presentation of proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of 5000 Rwandan Francs payable to the Account No. 1230070 in the name of RECO/EARP; Swift Code: BNRWRWRW. Bids should be accompanied by a bid security of Rwandan Francs 1.6 million.
