Serbia adopts spatial plan for Bistrica pumped-storage project

The Government of Serbia has adopted a special purpose spatial plan for the 628 MW Bistrica pumped-storage hydropower project in western Serbia. The plan, which covers an area of 253 km2 spanning the municipalities of Nova Varoš, Priboj and Prijepolje, includes the existing Potpeć hydropower plant on the river Lim, according to the document published by the government on 17 October.

Consultancy services invited for dam projects in Mauritius

The Ministry of Energy and Public Utilities (MEPU) of the Republic of Mauritius, through the Water Resources Unit, seeks to recruit a technical adviser/dam expert and a construction management and contract administration expert, with extensive experience in the field of dam engineering, to provide expert advice and support to the local team in the implementation of on-going dam projects and the rehabilitation, operation/maintenance and monitoring of existing dams.
