EPC contract tendered for Kalaroos II project in India

Pre-qualification bids are invited by 9 June for an EPC contract for a 10.5 MW scheme in the northern Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Limited (JKSPDCL) invites pre-qualification bids by 9 June for an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the 10.5 MW (3 x 3.5 MW) Kalaroos II hydropower project on the Kalaroos Nallah in the Kupwara District of the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The scope of the EPC turnkey lump sum fixed cost contract comprises the design, construction, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the civil, hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical works for the project. JKSPDCL expects all three 3.5 MW units to be commissioned in 48 months from contract award, including a pre-construction period of 10 months. A defects liability period of 24 months will begin after commissioning of works. Prequalification is open to single entity, joint ventures or consortia of companies from all countries. The participation of international bidders is subject to Government of India regulations.
