The project involves the design, supply and installation of a weir within the riverbed, a hydraulic circuit comprising a buried low-pressure conduit leading to the forebay, a forebay structure, a penstock, and the powerhouse. Additionally, the scope of works includes upgrading or building access roads and constructing the electrical line connecting the powerhouse to the grid.
The contracted works will be financed by the African Development Fund under the Energy Transition and lnstitutional Support Programme (ETISP). Bidding will be conducted through international open competitive bidding, under OCBI procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework dated 2015, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
