The scope of contract comprises the design, engineering, manufacturing, testing at manufacturer’s works before dispatch, supply, transportation, storage at site, intra site transportation, insurance (transit, storage, erection, testing and commissioning), erection, testing and commissioning of nine vertical Francis-type fixed speed reversible pump-turbines and synchronous motor-generator sets of 150 MW capacity each along with all associated auxiliary and ancillary equipment, 400 KV GIS, pothead yard and power evacuation structures including civil works and hydro mechanical works. The contracted works have an estimated value of INR 67.17 billion (US$ 808.82 million) excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST). The project, which is to be built at Sileru in Alluri Sitharamaraju District, is expected to be completed in 60 months from contract date.
Bids are invited from reputed contractors/joint venture companies/ consortia with experience in execution of civil or hydro mechanical or E&M equipment, works of lift irrigation/hydropower projects (including erection, testing and commissioning) in the preceding 20 years in India.
