This paper discusses the sustainable, community-based approach undertaken to provide clean water supply to resettled villagers as part of the development of the Theun-Hinboun Expansion Project. The paper reports how challenges, including high iron content in some villages, were overcome as well as the monitoring and control regimes implemented.
