The outlook for world tidal power development

Developments over the past few years in both the civil works for tidal powerplants (the application of floatable caissons) and also new generating equipment, have improved the prospects for this important source of power greatly, as construction costs can be reduced. This paper reviews world progress and future prospects for tidal power.
