Skills development and knowledge transfer in the hydro sector

The development of hydropower and other renewable energy technologies has become an integral part of the sustainable development agenda. Universal access to reliable, sustainable, affordable, safe and modern energy services is an undeniable prerequisite for progress worldwide. For nations to realize their targets for universal access to energy, there is a need to make greater use of the existing largely untapped vast renewable energy potential. This requires the development of relevant skills, a field in which ICH is playing a major role.
