Numerical and physical hydraulic modelling for the upgrading of Canton dam

The flood discharge works a Canton dam required upgrading to bring them in line with current safety legislation. This paper discusses the model studies conducted, and the solution adopted for the provision of an auxiliary spillway equipped with Hydroplus fusegates.
