New hydropower report identifies opportunities to reform US hydro licensing procedures

Recognizing which regulations can add time and cost to hydropower development can help decision makers smooth the process to a cleaner future. A recent report released by National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), in the USA, entitled ‘An Examination of the Hydropower Licensing and Federal Authorization Process’ helps identify how decision makers can smooth these procedures.
