Memve’ele goes ahead as the first BOOT scheme in Cameroon

The Memve’ele hydropower project is a greenfield project involving the development and operation of a 230 MW (expected gross capacity) hydro plant on the Ntem river in the southern part of Cameroon, near the border of Equatorial Guinea. It is essentially a run-of-river scheme, with daily pondage and peaking capacity. This paper outlines the plans for the scheme, including financial and technical aspects.
