Implementing a geodynamic monitoring system at hydro plants in Ukraine

By the beginning of this century, many generation facilities, including hydro plants built in the former Soviet Union, had been operating for more than 40 years. The inevitable ageing process of these structures has required the development of new approaches for monitoring their condition and safety. An automated monitoring system for hydropower plants has been developed in Ukraine and its implementation at Ukrainian hydro plants is currently at the final stage.
