The company owns and operates the largest facility of this type in Europe: the Cortes-La Muela complex in Valencia, Spain. The author describes the company’s portfolio of pumped-storage facilities, drawing attention to the major advantages that these plants offer to the grid, and reviews some of the latest developments in the field.
