Hydropower: A major focus for the development of Uganda’s economy

This paper describes the current status and opportunities for the future development of hydropower in Uganda. The demand for energy is identified to be large and is increasing, with hydropower expected to play a key role in the supply chain. To support its development, legislation promoting hydropower and the increase of private investment has been enacted.
