Analysing linear and cyclical trends in Brazilian hydro production

Since the last decade of the 20th century, Brazil has experienced an increased frequency of dry years, resulting in a systematic reduction in annual hydro production. This paper presents an analysis of linear and cyclical productivity trends in Brazil’s hydropower sector considering three sets of time series to identify trends in long-term mean annual flow.
