FAQs

You can find answers to some frequently asked questions below. But if you still have questions please contact us.

When will registration open?

Registration usually begins 3 months before the conference. If you have subscribed to receiving updates about our events, you will receive an email letting you know that registration is open. We will also publish notices on our website and in our Journal. You can subscribe to your choice of information about our activities by visiting our homepage.

Do I need to register before the event?

It is possible to register on site, however, the process will be quicker for you if you register in advance. You can also take advantage of discounted early booking rates by booking online before the event.

I’ve booked an exhibition stand. Do I still need to register?

Yes you do. Anyone who will be attending the event needs to register through our online registration system. Exhibitors, speakers and chairpersons will be sent unique codes to enable them to access the associated rates.

What is included with my stand booking?

For each 6 m2 stand you have booked, the following is included:

  • One free delegate place, and two delegates at a discounted rate
  • Universal shell scheme
  • Fascia including stand number and company name
  • One table and two chairs
  • Carpet (dependent on venue)
  • Electricity supply (multiple sockets)
  • Spotlight(s)

When will I get my badge?

Your badge and conference documents will be available from the registration desk from the day before the conference begins. You will not be able to enter the conference or exhibition until you have collected your badge, and you must wear it at all times when in the exhibition or conference sessions.

Can I just visit the exhibition?

No. The HYDRO, AFRICA and ASIA events are organized in a way that the exhibition and technical sessions complement each other. Exhibitors can attend the technical sessions and identify potential clients or future business opportunities and delegates have the opportunity to visit the exhibition stands in between the technical sessions during the refreshment breaks. In our experience, this leads to more genuine business relationships being developed.

Can I attend for one day only?

We do not offer one-day passes to the event. In special circumstances, and at our discretion, we may be able to offer two-day passes. Please contact us to discuss this before travelling to the event.

How can I co-sponsor the event?

Please visit our Sponsorship page to view available conference sponsorship packages. Alternatively, contact our Sales team to discuss opportunities best suited to your company’s requirements.

What assistance can you provide to attendees from developing countries?

The AMI Hydropower Foundation provides funding at each conference to a number of eligible applicants from developing countries. There is a formal application procedure for funding, and decisions about eligibility are made by an international board of Trustees. If you would like to apply, please see details here of what to include in your application. If you would like to invite guests from developing countries to visit your company at the event,  please contact us, as the AMI Foundation may be able to offer assistance with their fees.
