Electro- and hydromechanical equipment sought for small Swiss plants

Romande Energie of western Switzerland invites bids by 5 February for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electro- and hydromechanical equipment for two small hydro stations to be built in the Pays-d’Enhaut ,in the southwestern canton of Vaud. The Petit Revers and Etivaz Aux Plans plants will be built as part of a renewal of the water supply pipelines and infrastructure that deliver drinking water from Etivaz to the city of Lausanne. Three turbines will be installed at two separate sites to replace energy dissipators, which were built to dissipate the force of water associated with the steep slope.

The two run-of-river plants are expected to generate annual output of 3.1 GWh, equivalent to the consumption of 860 local households. Work is expected to start on 1 May, and to be completed by the end of 2023. Romande Energie, which is the leading power producer in the Swiss region of Romande, owns a total of 30 hydroelectric plants, mainly in the cantons of Vaud and Valais, which together produce about 600 GWh/year.

Access to the procurement documents is restricted.
