Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC), a state company responsible for the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of power projects in the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, invites bids by 30 July for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts in separate tenders for the 23 MW Ans-II and 14.1 MW Phagla hydropower projects.
The turnkey contracts will be awarded on a lump sum fixed cost basis, according to the tender notices published on 18 June. The Ans-II project is to be built near the village of Saisotani in Reasi District while the Phagla hydropower project is planned to be built on Chang Nallah near the village of Taradawali in the Poonch district. Bidding is open to single entities, joint ventures or consortia from any country, subject to Government of India regulations. Bid documents for E-RFQ/RFP No: JKSPDC/PMDP-2015/P-280/Ans-II/EPC/ and E-RFQ/RFP No: JKSPDC/PMDP-2015/P-280/Phagla/EPC can be downloaded from the e-tendering portal of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir at www.jktenders.gov.in, upon payment of a fee of INR 200 000 in the form of a crossed Demand Draft in favour of the General Manager (Accounts), JKSPDC at Srinagar. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security totalling INR 50 million for Ans-II and INR 40 million for the Phagla hydropower project in the form of bank guarantees as per the instructions provided in the tender document. Pre-bid meetings will be held on 8 July. Bid uploading is scheduled to start on 20 July with the last date for receipt of hard copies of technical bids set for 29 July and bid uploading to end on 30 July.
