The International Commission of the Congo-Ubangui-Sangha Basin (CICOS) was created in 1999; this paper presents the hydro potential of the four member states: Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo and Central African Republic. Future hydro development in the region is also discussed with respect to the projects envisaged by the Central African Power Pool.
