This paper synthesizes the results of the generation expansion plan for the Eastern Nile countries, regarding optimal possibilities for power trading in the region. The overall objective was to evaluate the potential benefits for the region (Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan) provided by an interconnection of the three power systems based on various levels of coordination.
