Wasserkraft Volk AG (WKV) is a German supplier of electromechanical equipment ‘water-to-wire’ for small to medium size hydropower stations. Services include: consulting; manufacturing; installation; commissioning; and, after-sales services for E&M equipment for its entire lifespan. WKV offers an extended warranty of five years on its components, which are made in Germany. Complete low voltage equipment (control and protection), including SCADA, is made by WKV. The company spezializes in Pleton and Francis turbines up to 35 MW, Turgo turbines up to 7.5 MW, and crossflow turbines up to 2.5 MW. It provides synchronous alternators up to 40 000 kVA for any prime mover. Furthermore, it offers a complete range of equipment and accessories, such as emergency diesel units, powerhouse cranes, and medium- and high-voltage equipment (up to 220kV).
