A recent major refurbishment at the Momina Klisura hydro plant in Bulgaria included the installation of a modern vibration and process monitoring system. The age of the machines, and some unusual demands on the operation of the plant, had been leading to unacceptably high maintenance costs and downtime. The first months of operating experience demonstrate that the new system has been effective in improving economics and efficiency.
