EDF plans for future development in France and worldwide

Hydropower accounted for 49.5 per cent of French gross renewable electricity generation in 2020. As hydropower is controllable and highly responsive, its strengths are essential to the energy transition, in particular by facilitating the integration of new renewable energies. EDF Hydro’s Director of Development, Yann Coïc, briefly outlines here the company strategy on renewable energy, and hydro projects in particular, to develop further the leading source of renewable energy in France as well as in other parts of the world.
